As always, we hope that this news helps you make the most of your career here at Pitt and makes it easier for you to stay in-the-know. Transit TeamworkGetting around town has never been easier now that Pitt is partnering with CMU to provide FREE shuttle service to students and employees at both schools. That’s right – you can now ride CMU shuttles for free as well! This opens up transportation to new areas like Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, and Bakery Square. More Tools to Live WellOn May 3, LifeSolutions is launching a new version of their website and it's going to be packed with even more tools to help you live well. This includes a new Learning Center with webinars, short courses, videos, and more. To make this content even more accessible, the new website can be translated into 133 different languages using a built-in tool to make it as simple as possible for you and your household to engage. Please Note: Employees will have to create a new account once the website launches, but our company code will still be PITT. Celebrating Your ServiceOur Annual Staff Recognition Ceremony is just around the corner—June is only a few short months away! We have some exciting news to share: starting this year, staff celebrating milestone work anniversaries of five years and beyond were able to choose from a selection of gifts rather than having one chosen for them! Eligible staff received a catalogue of options that they could choose as their service recognition gift. There were separate catalogues based on years of service with longer-tenured employees receiving larger gifts. Our hope is that staff were able to select a more meaningful and appropriate gift. The ceremony will take place on June 24 at the William Pitt Union. Employees celebrating a work anniversary of 20 years or greater have received invitations to the event via email. Connect With Your RepWe’ve heard you loud and clear: finding the right person to contact in HR can be confusing. That’s why we’re launching the new “Find My HR Representative” tool to help get you in touch with the correct contact as quickly and easily as possible. The tool will allow you to input your department or area of interest to immediately locate your assigned representatives in Recruiting, Employee & Labor Relations, or Compensation so you can get in touch with them without having to jump through hoops. Learning Isn't Just for StudentsIt’s that time again – the spring term of the Faculty and Staff Development Program (FSDP) is here and features a new and improved registration system! You’ll be able to register for the same certificate programs and workshops that you know and love, but in an upgraded, user-friendly interface. The new site will allow you to easily track what classes you have completed and lets you take charge of your learning journey, all completely connected through your Pitt login. FSDP workshops fill up fast, so visit the website today to enroll! Pitt Employee Gets Healthier Faster with Wellness for Life Programs “It is totally doable and a program like this breaks things down so that you don’t feel overwhelmed. My health coach, Alyssa, was very informative and encouraging.” — Carmela A few weeks ago, we launched our new quarterly Wellness Wins series where we showcase how real Pitt employees like you have used their benefits and perks to reach personal goals. Here at OHR, we believe in celebrating the dimensions of wellness – Physical, Emotional, Financial, Environmental, Intellectual, Occupational, Social, and Mindful – and we hope this series helps you discover new ways to engage in wellness activities. Our first featured employee was Carmela, who recently participated in our free Weigh to Wellness program to meet her nutritional goals. She was grateful for the program because, “Structure and accountability are key to [her] being successful in making positive changes.” Check in with a TIAA Financial AdvisorNow that tax season is over, it’s time to take action to prepare yourself financially for your future.
