We are very pleased to inform that Finans Danmark’s board decided in June 2022 to extent the financing of DKK 7.8 mill. per year. In this manner, DFI can continue for four additional years to support world class finance research in Denmark. Scientific Board Meeting 2022The DFI Scientific Board had their annual meeting online on August 18, 2022, where they discussed and approved the DFI Publication Scholarship applications. Please find an extract of the latest Scientific Board report below. DFI Board Meeting 2022The DFI board held its regular meeting in October 2022, and among other things approved a revision of the ‘Principles Programme’ (see the link below). The main changes are that the duration of new Research Scolarships from 2024 will be gradually reduced (see Section 2.1), and that starting from 2023, one can only apply for one Publication Scholarship per year and amounts awarded for Publication Scholarships may be reduced (see Section 2.3). It is stated in Section 2.3 that: ‘A Research Fellow can each year only apply for a single Publication Scholarship (Level 1 or Level 2). The background for the changes is that we want to limit how much one individual can be granted from DFI in a single year. In addition, DFI needs some financial flexibility towards the end of 2026, when the funding expires. Financial flexibility is also required when we in the coming years will look into the possibility of obtaining funding for a continuity of DFI beyond 2026.
