Listening to Autumn
I am listening to the song of
transformation, to the wisdom of
the season, to the losses
and the grieving, to the turning
loose and letting go.
I am listening to the surrender of autumn.
I am listening.
I am listening to the music of the
forest’s undergrowth, to the
crunch of leaves beneath
my feet, to the miracle of
crumbling leaves.
I am listening to the beauty and
fragility of aging.
I am listening.
I am listening to the wheel of the
year turning, to the cycle of the
seasons, to the call for
harmony and balance.
I am listening to the circle of life.

National Assembly Meeting Summary
Elected members came together to discern the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the National Assembly Reconvened Meeting that encouraged community and listening to one another in openness and humility. The Assembly brought together 200 members from Synods and Presbyteries, with office holders, Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress members, youthful members and others to form a national decision-making body. The Uniting Church in Australia believes that we hear the voice of God through the councils of our Church, so time was also set aside for prayer, worship and Bible studies. New Revised Standard Version
Bible updated
More than 20,000 revisions have been made for the new edition, which scholars made clear was not a new translation. (RNS) — An updated edition of the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible includes thousands of changes in language, reflecting the research of a wide range of scholars who spent four years reviewing its contents as well as taking into consideration ‘modern sensibilities.’ Read more

Freedom to roam blends with a guiding hand, to enable sheep to seek what they need and be shown newer spaces to explore.
We, too, freely roam through our life, exploring and learning with the wonders before us that feed our minds and soul. There are always things to learn, joy and delight to receive, God’s creation to explore, stillness and busyness of living in which to participate. Read more
