Introducing Children's Hospital Pyjamas - our new national charity partner

We are very excited and proud to announce our new national charity partner, Children's Hospital Pyjamas!

Introducing them and what they do...

"Spreading love through comfort by donating brand new pairs of pyjamas to poorly children in hospitals, hospices and women’s refuges."

Founded in 2010, Charmaine Green set up the charity after her daughter was an in-patient having been diagnosed with Leukaemia. They were left a gift package by another family and the comfort that brought to Charmaine and her daughter made Charmaine want to provide the same to all children who are unfortunate enough to be an in-patient, either in hospital, a hospice or refuge.

Here at Puddle Ducks, when we learnt about their cause, not only were we blown away with what the charity had achieved over the last 12 years (it is run solely by volunteers), we also thought that so many of our customers will have empathy with the charity's mission; working with little ones, we know of so many customers who have found themselves in hospital with their children over the years. Plus, there is such a brilliant link to our Pyjama Week!

Children's Hospital Pyjamas accepts donations all year round; their main annual appeal runs from 1st September - 30th November. They are currently supplying pyjama packages (containing 92 pairs of brand new pyjamas) to 155 venues across the UK and this number is constantly growing. How can you support Children's Hospital Pyjamas?

Purchase Pyjamas
Find out how you can donate pyjamas here. Each receiving venue is given a package of 92 pairs of pyjamas, including sizes from birth to 18 years and suitable for boys and girls.

Donate Money
You can donate directly to the charity or use Just Giving. The money is used purchase pyjamas where certain sizes are missing and to deliver them to children in need around the UK.

Become an Area Co-ordinator
Read about what the role entails and whether they need someone in your area - the charity is entirely staffed by volunteers from around the UK.

Sew 'From Me To You' Hearts
Pairs of identical stitched and stuffed hearts are gifted with the pyjamas. The child gives one of the hearts to their chosen loved one so they feel connected even when they are not there. Join in via the Facebook group.

Our Charity Pyjama Week is taking place, for the first time since the pandemic, from 10th-16th October, and your local team will be getting in touch to let you know if they are choosing to support Children's Hospital Pyjamas during this week and how they are going to co-ordinate donations from you, our lovely customers.
