He Toa, He Tāne – Celebrating Mark Lang ✨

 

From transitioning out of prison to becoming a respected gallery owner and commissioned carver, Mark Lang’s journey reflects remarkable growth, leadership, and mana motuhake.

His rising influence is now being recognised internationally:
🌍 IRCC – speaking and exhibiting his work
🌏 Philanthropy 2026 – invited to share his lived experience

 

Mark’s story shows what’s possible with the right backing. We’re proud to support his journey in partnership with Arts Access Aotearoa.

 

Hapori Māori & Pāsifika Development Fund is OPEN

 
 

Dunedin City Council’s Hapori Māori Fund and Pāsifika Development Fund offer up to $10,000 for local creatives, small business owners, and social enterprises. Funding can cover equipment, mentoring, marketing, or project delivery. Sole traders can apply — you don’t need to belong to an iwi or cultural group.
