• Fulshear’s first Catholic Church held its inaugural masses in August at Joe A. Hubenac Elementary School. Services will be held Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 8 and 10am. The parish owns 24 acres on FM 1093 for future development.
• Fulshear's Pollinator Garden has been approved as an addition to Irene Stern Park. It will serve as an educational “lab” that will attract select butterflies.
• The Lamar Independent School District has plans underway for Churchill Fulshear High School, Dean Leaman Junior High School and Arredondo Elementary School in Richmond. All are expected to open in time for the 2016-17 school year if not before.
• According to the Ft. Bend Star, much-needed area road construction consists of four lanes of FM 1093 frontage road from SH 99 to FM 1463, four lanes of main toll lanes from SH 99 to Spring Green Road, and a direct connector – east FM 1093 to north SH 99. Phase two is from James Lane to FM 1463, a boulevard section through Fulshear. This expansion phase is slated for completion in early 2016.
