2022 Stipends Update

The latest edition of the Dollars and Sense enews was sent out last week from the Resources team. Since that edition was published, there has been an update to the 2022 Stipends information that will be important for congregations to be aware of as they set their budgets for 2022.

2022 Calendar Orders

The Synod's 2022 Calendar features more than 20 art-works, including the theological inspiration behind each piece. Although the early-bird pricing period has closed, Calendar orders can still be placed online and are priced at $10 per Calendar. Details are available on the Synod website.

Event Highlight

The Morialta Uniting Church and Community Centre will be hosting its 'Mighty Magill Christmas Market & Exhibition,' this Saturday, 20th November from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm at 26 Chapel Street, Magill. The market will include Christmas goodies, books, gifts and crafts, plants, bric-a-brac and a sausage sizzle.

All other events (other than worship services) should be submitted via the Events form in the usual way.

Prayer Points

This week we pray for:

  • For rural and remote communities as borders re-open
  • For our Bush Chaplains in supporting rural communities
  • For all people to have access to vaccines and on-going healthcare support.

 


Reflection

Jesus’ message of ‘full and final participation’ was periodically enjoyed and taught by many unknown saints and mystics. It must be admitted, though, that the vast majority of Christians made Christianity into a set of morals and rituals instead of an all-embracing mysticism of the present moment.
