3 Reasons to Fund The Show Must Go On #3: An Event Industry Climate Transition Plan to 2030

The Show Must Go On (SMGO) reports (2015 & 2020) have been pivotal reference guides for event professionals, launching the 2025 sector vision, and providing a framework for hundreds of events to take climate action. Here are 3 reasons we need the Show Must Go On #3 in 2025.

1. A bold, urgent, ambitious and united climate vision is needed to unite the whole industry: The window for impactful climate action globally is closing and festivals and events have a powerful role to play in inspiring  change. The #SMGO3 will identify key sustainability goals for the sector and the call to action for audiences.

2. The industry is better, faster and more cost-effective together: Events and suppliers of all scales need clear guidance, resources and support. The #SMGO3 will provide a united vision, robust benchmarks and a blueprint for national standards and assessment.

3. We need a strong evidence base for government support for the sector: The #SMGO3 will help build a case for what we can do as a sector, and where we need support to accelerate sector change and unlock innovation in the supply chain.

Please help us reach the funding target of £50,000. There are a range of options to suit all levels - every amount counts: https://bit.ly/SMGO-3

ADE Green 2024: Building climate justice spaces in the music industry

Recognising that the music industry, with its global reach and cultural influence, has a unique role to play in amplifying the call for climate justice, ADE Green Conference wove the theme of Climate Justice throughout the 2024 program.

The 'Reclaiming Space: Climate Justice in the Music Industry' panel led by Syed Jazib Ali, a prominent voice for environmental justice and human rights, explored pathways to dismantle existing barriers and amplify unheard voices for a more just and resilient world with panelists (pictured) Lady Shaka (artist), Shishani (artist), and Chris Johnson (Shambala Festival).
