A CLOSER LOOK: CLASSIC ELEGANCE
At this stunning Tanglewood home, we focused on opening up the view of the front yard and improving the path for pedestrians. We replaced an old circle driveway with a streamlined parking space made of dyed concrete, framed with brick bands and retaining walls to match the classic styling of the house. Brick columns, wide steps and flagstone paving delineate pedestrian access from the sidewalk to the home’s refreshed front entrance. Meanwhile, low growing ground cover provides a clear vantage of the house, giving prominence to an ornate planting bowl centered on the front doorway, and formal, evergreen plantings — combined with a square of lush zoysia lawn — accentuate the building’s elegant front façade.
