No images? Click here 17th June 2022Dear Members of Synod, As you prepare for the forthcoming Synod meeting, we wish to let all members know of some important information. The Moderator, Mr Bronte Wilson, is currently on sick leave and will not be present at the upcoming Synod Meeting. The meeting will be chaired by the ex-Moderator, Rev Sue Ellis, who is Acting Moderator in Bronte's absence. Updated Start Time for the Synod Meeting Members, please note we have updated the start time for the meeting on Friday 24 June to 9:15am. Check in will commence at 8:45 am and the day will conclude at 5:30pm. Saturday will commence at 9:30 am and will conclude at 5:30pm. Orientation for the Synod

Proposals All reports and general proposals are now also available on the Synod website at this link. Nominations Nominations for boards and committees are now open. The information letter and the nomination form are also located on the Synod website. Nominations are open till 18th of June at 4.30pm. Please do not leave it until the last minute to submit a nomination. We particularly need nominations for Synod Standing Committee. Eventzilla App A reminder that members can access all the meeting information via our new App provided by Eventzilla. (This replaces the Yapp App that we have previously used). The App will provide on-going information, daily e-updates, photographs and social media links. The App can be viewed on tablets and smartphones. Draft Program The draft program is currently available on the Synod website at this link. It will also be made available via the Eventzilla App next week and is subject to change. As the agenda changes notifications will be sent via the App for your information. Printed hard copies of the agenda will also be available each day. Accommodation All accommodation at the actual venue is booked out. However, if you still require accommodation please visit this link for some options in the Hahndorf region: Hahndorf Boutique Accommodation | Adelaide Hills | The Haus Group Car Parking As you arrive at the venue there will be car-parking marshals available to guide you to a car-park. Marshals will be on-site from 8.00 am onwards. We encourage you to consider car pooling where possible. Photography During the Synod meeting Engagement staff will be taking photographs throughout the two days. We ask you to fill in the content release form which is available on the Synod website at this link. Please bring the signed form to the first day of the Synod meeting. If for you any reason you do not wish to feature in photographs, please advise Engagement staff at the meeting. Catering The Adelaide Hills Convention Centre will be providing morning and afternoon tea and lunch during the two days of the Synod meeting. Dietary requirements have now been conveyed to the venue and there will be dietary options available. Wi-fi The venue will provide Wi-fi details and this information will be located on each table at the conference venue for you to log into for the duration of the meeting. Climate At this time of year the Adelaide Hills is usually 4 degrees cooler than the Adelaide Plains. At various times during the meeting you will be able to access the balcony area at the venue and we encourage you to wrap up warm with layered clothing to suit the internal and external environment.
