Profile: IDCRC Mentee Zanthia Wiley, MDThe IDCRC Mentorship Program is designed to offer mentoring and development of junior investigators and fellows in clinical and translational infectious diseases research. Dr. Zanthia Wiley’s research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, penicillin allergies, and adaptive COVID-19 treatment trials. She is also interested in health care disparities in infectious diseases, particularly COVID-19.

Investigational AstraZeneca vaccine prevents COVID-19 Published March 22, 2021 Results from a large clinical trial in the United States and South America indicate that AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, AZD1222, is well-tolerated and protects against symptomatic COVID-19 disease, including severe disease or hospitalization.
