A talented mix of youth and experience will represent Bowls Auckland at next month's National Under 26 Five-a-Side in Wellington.

The squad includes current Women's Bowler of the Year Hannah Dawson and Young Bowler of the Year Adam Blucher, Commonwealth Games-bound Liam Hill and new recruit Anthony Ouellet, while the tournament also doubles as a key selection event for Bowls New Zealand's Oceania Challenge team.

Congratulations to all players and coaches selected.

Winterclub will bring the heat this weekend!

A record-breaking 42 teams from 26 clubs will hit the greens this Sunday as the 2026 Winterclub competition gets underway, marking the biggest edition of the popular winter event to date.

Played over three weeks, Winterclub combines friendly rivalry with competitive bowls before the top teams battle it out on Finals Day. Opening weekend will see matches hosted at Mt Eden, Ōtāhuhu Railway, Papatoetoe, Carlton Cornwall, Blockhouse Bay, Remuera and St Heliers, with every result counting towards qualification for the four finals flights.

This year's competition also introduces re-spotting dead ends in line with other Bowls Auckland non-pathway events, while the unique bonus-fours scoring system returns, ensuring every rink and every point could prove crucial.

A huge thank you to the host clubs, volunteers, duty teams and recorders helping bring the event together. Best of luck to all 42 sides—we can't wait to see who makes an early statement this weekend!

Adam Baillie strikes Gold at Australian Deaf Games

Congratulations to Adam Baillie on an outstanding achievement after claiming the Men's Singles title at the 2026 Australian Deaf Games.

Competing at Club Mooloolaba, Adam produced a superb performance throughout the tournament before defeating Queensland's Gary Hagan in a high-quality final to be crowned the 2026 Australian Deaf Games Men's Singles Champion.

The final showcased exceptional skill, precision and composure from both players, with Adam rising to the occasion when it mattered most to secure the Gold Medal.
