JCS Online Resources - FindMyPast & British Newspaper Archive webinars

Dr Lorna Tyrtania, Principal Product Manager at Findmypast / The British Newspaper Archive  will lead two short webinars providing a walkthrough to explain how patrons can access each of the databases to get started quickly, explore, search and view the content, with a few extra tips and tools for success.

Each webinar will run for 30 minutes (25-minute presentation followed by 5 minute Q and A) Please register separately for each of the webinars that you wish to attend below:

Please also note that these webinars will be hosted out of the UK - hence the late-night timing of the live sessions. However, if you register as an attendee, you will be sent a recording of the session whether you attend the live session or not.

Gale Cengage - new public library packages & webinar

Gale Cengage is introducing two new public library packages through EPIC in 2026-2027:

The Gale Regional Public Libraries Package will be available to public libraries with a population served of less than 200,000 and includes access to the following Gale Cengage resources:

  • Gale General OneFile
  • Gale OneFile: News
  • Gale OneFile: Australia and New Zealand
  • Gale In Context: Global Issues
  • National Geographic Kids

Gale will be hosting the following webinar session to provide an overview of the resources included in the package:

    Access to a comprehensive collection of education activities created exclusively for the special needs community (in-library use only).

Bookery:

  • Learn English Online  (Public Libraries, Tertiary Libraries)
    A new Clarity English program. A simple to use, English learning tool, covering 4 levels – beginner, elementary, intermediate and advanced.

RMIT Publishing:

  • Informit Explore (Public Libraries, Non- University Tertiary Libraries, Special Libraries)
