This event will provide an in-depth exploration into the world of the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program. These valuable resources will help you prepare to use New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) financing as a funding source for your projects, whether for real estate development, construction, or operating business needs such as working capital and equipment financing. In addition, a subject matter expert will discuss strategies for utilizing NMTC financing in both for-sale housing and affordable housing developments, highlighting key opportunities, considerations, and best practices for structuring these projects.
PIDC Community Capital Receives $6.5 Million Investment from JPMorganChasePIDC is thrilled to share that JPMorganChase recently announced a major investment in Philadelphia's future, including a $6.5 million investment in PIDC Community Capital, PIDC's lending arm and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). The PIDC team is grateful for this support, as the funding will help us expand access to flexible financing for businesses in the maritime, defense, and manufacturing sectors, helping drive growth, innovation, and job creation at the Navy Yard and beyond. This investment demonstrates how cross-sector collaboration can help Philadelphia compete, attract investment and contribute to industries that are critical to America’s economic growth and prosperity. Join our Boost Your Business Info Session & Learn How You Could Get a $50,000 Forgivable LoanThe City of Philadelphia is launching the latest round of Boost Your Business, a program to help businesses grow, obtain new contracts, increase revenue, and create jobs for Philadelphians. Through the program, 20 businesses will be selected to receive a $50,000 forgivable loan. The loan will be forgiven when the business meets its stated growth goals, with additional business support assistance provided throughout the process. Boost Your Business is a program of the Department of Commerce, in partnership with PIDC, for business owners who face unique barriers in accessing critical funding and resources that are needed to help their businesses grow.
