Standing out in a competitive market takes more than just an application — you need to showcase your skills and stay organized to make a good impression. Pitt provides tech tools and resources to help you land your dream position!

  • Gain the Desired Skillset: Identify the listed skills for the positions you’re interested in, and use LinkedIn Learning to build your abilities in those areas. 
  • Update Your Online Presence: Update your LinkedIn profile with your most recent experience, and be sure to follow any companies you’re applying to. 
  • Find Legit Opportunities: Use Handshake to find jobs and internships that match your career goals. Find other career resources through Career Central.
  • Make a Good First Impression: Use effective email etiquette when reaching out to potential employers, and improve your resume with VMock.
  • Stay Organized: Consider tracking applications in Excel, preparing notes for interviews in OneNote, and adding interviews to your Outlook calendar.
