Mental health is on our minds at the moment, with Mental Health Awareness Month starting this Saturday.

Mid-semester break also finishes this weekend, so we'll see a lot of you back on campus next week! (To be clear, we'll see you from Tuesday onward due to the Labour Day public holiday on Monday.)

Below you'll find just a snippet of events and opportunities coming up throughout October, but we're looking forward to sharing more with you as the month progresses.

Lastly, please remember semester 2 exam timetables are released this Friday - so make sure you check your MyAdelaide after they're released.

Diwali Celebration on campus

Maths Lawns, UofA
All current Adelaide uni students and staff are invited to join this free Diwali Celebration, with food trucks, performers, music, ceremony, and LIGHTS! Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists in communities across different parts of the world. Register online here.

Digital Humanities Lab: Preserving the digital and recreating the physical past
12 October, 10am to 11am - webinar
Join us to learn more about a project prototyping 3D models of lost built heritage, enriched with archival records, and the State Library of South Australia’s preservation and care of a collection of significant 1980s and 90s digital art, making it accessible for researchers and the wider community. Join the CCC Club during Mental Health Awareness month. We'll be talking about how mental health support works in Australia. Here you'll find snacks, friendly faces and a chance to ask any questions you have about taking care of your wellbeing.

Picnic Chats

Take a break for free food and conversation in Hub Central. Picnic Chats is happening in the Co-op to help break stigma around talking about mental health and wellbeing. Register for a free picnic pack and conversation cards and join us on the day.

Train Your Body and Mind for Exams

Join an amazing facilitator from Human Kind and bring your stress into the zone. This session will assist you in developing skills for body and mind that will help you succeed during exams. Registration is essential.
