This survey is confidential and should only take 3-5 minutes of your time. It is a great tool for us, the Faculties and the Schools to make continuous improvements in the way we support you and to ensure you have the best possible experience throughout your candidature. With winter approaching fast, I am very pleased that HDR students have again been included in the free University of Adelaide Flu Vaccination Program. You can either receive your vaccination on campus or in participating pharmacies. Available dates and booking information can be found here. A Researcher Profile scores highly on Google searches of your name and if you are a PhD researcher, your supervisor will have you listed on their profile, increasing your visibility. Research publications, outputs, professional activities and profile information you add to Aurora (University of Adelaide Researcher Outputs, Reporting and Analytics) can be displayed publicly on your Researcher Profile along with contact details, social media connections, a profile photo, and embedded videos. You can start off with a simple profile and add to it over time as you have more content to share, and you can claim 1 CaRST credit in Domain B for creating your University of Adelaide Researcher Profile. The first round for 2024 is currently open for submissions and closes on the 26th of April for HDR students travelling from early May in 2024. Applications can be submitted via the Career’s Hub page. Please carefully read the eligibility criteria and travel grant rules available on the Find a Scholarship page before applying. With the limited budget available, you are also highly encouraged to apply for other travel grant opportunities to fund your travel. Postgraduate Scholarship OpportunitiesThe Adelaide Graduate Research School maintains a searchable database of available scholarship opportunities (both full scholarships and supplementary scholarships), funded by both the University of Adelaide and external funding bodies. While the majority of available scholarships are awarded as part of the standard admission and scholarship rounds for domestic and international students, some are awarded at different times throughout the year, and may have a separate application process. Hans-Jürgen and Marianne Ohff Research Grants 2024 These Research Grants were established by Hans-Jürgen & Marianne Ohff to support postgraduate research students enrolled in postgraduate research programs at the University of Adelaide to undertake study and/or fieldwork in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, or The Netherlands at a research institute or university. There are also other types of systematic literature reviews which make use of systematic search techniques. The Library will once again be running the Visualise Your Thesis competition, where HDR students are challenged to create a 60-second video presenting their research. Student Health and Wellbeing Wellbeing Grants Program – Applications now openThe student health and wellbeing team is now accepting applications for grants up to $1000. Students and staff are encouraged to apply and run an initiative or event promotes student wellbeing in one or more of the following eight wellbeing areas: cultural, financial, physical, social, emotional, workplace, intellectual and environmental wellbeing.
