Prepare for EOFY Stocktake

Before the last day of the Financial Year, it is critical to complete a full stocktake by checking all products and inventory in your practice, making sure records are accurate and correct. A stocktake lets you work out the value of your “stock” at the EOFY for business or tax purposes.

The advantages of completing a stocktake as well as meeting your tax obligations include:

  • Gaining a better understanding of your stock levels
  • Make sure you have the correct amount of inventory on hand
  • Identifying what inventory you need to buy
  • Improving your cash flow by identifying and reducing slow moving stock
  • Detecting theft and gaps in your stock levels
  • Review your pricing strategy.
