Vermont Saves: A Retirement Program
Join Vermont State Treasurer Mike Pieciak for a discussion about Vermont Saves, the Treasurer's publicly administered retirement program launching in December 2024. The event will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 8:30 a.m. in the Streetside Conference Center, 67 Merchants Row in Downtown Rutland. Vermont Saves will improve the financial security of tens of thousands of Vermonters. The program creates a retirement savings plan for Vermonters not offered a plan through their employer. Employers with 5 or more employees who do not currently offer
their workers a retirement plan will be required to sign up for Vermont Saves by the end of February 2025. Their workers will automatically be enrolled in a Roth IRA account. Employees can set their own contribution rate, use the program default (5%), or opt out of the program if they choose. The program makes saving for retirement simple and automatic. At no cost to employers or taxpayers, Vermont Saves will help secure a stable retirement for Vermont's workforce. Join us to learn more! Click here to learn about Vermont Saves
