We aim to accomplish this by recruiting talent and businesses of all kinds while growing and retaining employers. CEDRR also creates a bridge to community and cultural organizations, promoting healthy and vibrant neighborhoods to enhance the quality of life in Rutland County. Valentine's Day is here and The MINT is feeling the love!
Check out this video, captured by our Castleton University intern, Julie. Tom walks us through a 3-color print, which he demonstrated at our Member Mixer on Saturday, February 4.
And, yes! We are very excited to welcome Julie Griffith as our Marketing and Communications Intern for the spring semester. Julie comes to us from Castleton University where she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art. In her own words, Julie is at The MINT with a goal of strengthening and supporting access to art, utilizing media to further hands-on involvement and knowledge of local culture. Welcome aboard, Julie!
Speaking of interns, Julie’s not the only new face at The MINT. We are also partnering with the Rutland High School P.L.A.C.E program. This program focuses on connecting high school seniors with area businesses and organizations. Ella joins us on Tuesdays and Thursdays to assist with various educational planning and activities in support of our Boiler Program. We are very excited to have Ella, too!
One of the many projects coming out of the Boiler right now is February Break Camp - we see you teachers, parents and caregivers!
We had such a demand for camp, our waitlist doubled our potential enrollment. And, you know, since we are a Makerspace, we needed to make-space for more youth! We are super excited to partner with the Rutland Area Christian School (RACS) on Lincoln Avenue this February, taking the Boiler Bus on the road and expanding access to area youth! In just a few weeks, The MINT will be setting up camp at RACS.
