----- SPECIAL EDITION -----QiC Diabetes Awards 2023The Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards returned last night and once again celebrated the amazing people making a difference in the world of diabetes. Now in its 13th year, QiC Diabetes recognises, rewards and shares innovative practice demonstrating quality in diabetes management, education and services for people with diabetes and/or their families. Exceptional members of the diabetes community were rewarded and celebrated during the prestigious 13th Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards. More than 100 people attended the ceremony, which took place at Sanofi’s UK headquarters in Reading. A QiC award means an initiative has been recognised by the NHS, people with diabetes and industry as improving the quality of life for individuals living with the condition. Debbie Woods, Head of Medical General Medicines UK and Ireland Sanofi, said: “Sanofi is delighted to support the QiC Programme in 2023 and to recognise and reward the innovations that will benefit people living with diabetes. “The QiC Programme is at the forefront of sharing best practice to improve the quality of care, through demonstrating novel solutions to problems encountered by healthcare professionals and those impacted by diabetes on a daily basis.” She added: “The commitment to quality of care is a core value of the NHS and the QiC Programme is a shining example of that value in practice.” Simon O’Neill, Diabetes UK Director of Health Intelligence and Professional Liaison, said: “Diabetes UK is once again delighted to collaborate on these important awards. “They highlight and promote the exciting and innovative approaches that are being implemented around the UK to improve the care of people with diabetes.” Bringing you the latest jobs from around the country within the field of diabetes.
