A Member’s Journey!
During the last few weeks, we provided you with resources to help improve team engagement and communication within your practice. These included tools to host more effective team meetings and one-on-one discussions with individual members.
In this final week of the series, we share the journey of one ProVision member who identified the need for - and successfully implemented - a team communications plan. We also provide tips for hosting more meaningful meetings, a learning module on communicating as a manager and, finally, a guide to implementing and measuring the success of your team communication plan.

Get ready for the launch of Director ID
As we begin the potentially long COVID-19 recovery, the Federal Government is making some crucial changes to minimise fraud and protect the privacy and security of Australian directors.
Part of this process has been the introduction of Director Identification Numbers (DIN) – a unique identifier that a director will keep indefinitely. This initiative has been designed to help stamp out illegal phoenixing and other fraudulent activity, enabling the government to verify and track individual directors' corporate histories accurately.
It is critical to understand your new obligations as a director. Failure to apply for a DIN within the required time frame will leave you open to criminal and civil penalties. If you are a director or support your organisation's directors, you must get across the requirements and prepare yourself for what's to come. Applications open on the 1 November 2021, so get cracking!

Exclusive workshop for ProVision members
Facilitated and led by CooperVision Professional Services, this workshop reviews the fitting of Biofinity® multifocal (sphere and toric) and the recently launched MyDay® daily disposable multifocal.
Through small groups and interactive discussions, participants will work through various patient-fitting and troubleshooting scenarios.
This workshop is interactive and CPD accredited (1.5 hours), and aimed at Optometrists who wish to improve their success rates when fitting multifocal contact lenses. It includes all contact lenses, but in particular those from the CooperVision range. There are three sessions available at 7:00-8:30pm AEDT on the following dates: Tuesday 26 October, Monday 8 November and Tuesday 9 November.
