~MARK YOUR CALENDARS~
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH
The Park District is currently in the planning stage for our upcoming Fall Rugby Fest. For the second year in a row, we will kick off the festivities with a family-friendly rugby game at 1:00pm. After the game, you can enjoy food and beverages from the food trucks, beer and wine, music, and a bonfire.
At previous fall fests, we've included face painting, kids games, scarecrow building contests, and baggo's, but every year we have fewer and fewer volunteers. Four commissioners and four employees cannot run the entire event alone. These events can only happen if there is someone to help with the coordination and running of each
activity. So .......
THIS YEAR, THE NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS.
If you want to see face painting or games for the kid's, or a baggo's tournament, please step up and volunteer. Additional help is needed for parking, set-up for the event, and take-down and clean up. Unfortunately if no one volunteers, there won't be anything other than the food, beer, music and bonfire. It's up to YOU.
To volunteer, please come to
the next board meeting, on Wednesday July 10th. The meeting begins at 6:30pm in the conference room of the community center located at 36630 N. Hutchins Rd. Fall Rugby Fest is an agenda item at every meeting. If you have any questions, please call 847-356-0008.
