We’ve used this feedback to improve workshops we’re already running, offer new activities, and remove those which weren’t meeting expectations. If you are keen to boost your CaRST credits over the holiday period, don’t forget we have a range of online training opportunities, which you can complete at your own pace. In particular, if you haven’t looked at the recorded workshops available on the CaRST MyUni site recently, then now is a great time to take a look, as we’ve recently refreshed a lot of the content, including adding new online modules. We also have the new Epigeum course, Research Impact: Creating Meaning and Value, launched in November. If you are able to, this time of year is also a great time to take a break, relax and recharge, ready to make great research progress in 2024! Best wishes, Katy Dolman Other Training & EventsManaging your Research Data The Library is very pleased to let you know that this revamped course is live! This self-paced, flexible online resource provides a comprehensive guide to best practice in research data management, including how to organise your data, keep it safe, make it FAIR, publish, share and archive it. Research Impact: Creating Meaning and Value Research impact refers to the contributions your research makes beyond academia. This course covers the fundamentals of research impact – what it is and how it can be embedded into every step of the research journey – to help support universities in embedding a broader culture of research impact. This program is relevant to researchers at all levels, with particular relevance for doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career researchers. It is suitable across all major disciplines. Enrol here. NewsChristmas Closure The Adelaide Graduate Research School will break for Christmas on Friday 22 December at 1pm, reopening at 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2024. The office will be closed during this time. Please note that we will be unable to accept thesis submissions on the morning of the 22nd of December. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. CSIRO On Prime ON Prime is a free program designed for researchers at any stage of their project across disciplines to help research teams of two to five people take their projects to the next level through customer discovery activities and more. During the nine weeks of ON Prime, you will develop a deeper understanding of the people who could benefit the most from your research and sharpen your skills to communicate with that audience. Expert facilitators will support you to build evidence for the impact of your research, so you can make a difference in the world and attract the resources you need along the way. Remotely delivered sessions are spaced out approximately two weeks apart and you should allocate additional time between sessions to undertake stakeholder engagement activities. The application round for ON Prime 15 is now open. Visit our online application portal to submit your application. The application window closes on Wednesday, 14 February 2024, at 5 pm AEDT (GMT+10).
