Introducing Jhanna

Mt Albert Bowls recently welcomed Jhanna Savov, who has taken the role of Bowls Development Officer.

Jhanna has grown up in Mount Albert and has been involved in the community, from Mt Albert Grammar to a local Taekwondo club.  She comes from a background in tennis, having been involved with her tennis club since 2003 as a student, volunteer, coach and team captain.
Jhanna plans to bring her skills from sales & marketing and recruitment to continue the growth of bowls at Mt Albert Bowls.

Definition of...
bumps

Of course, they are supposed to be dead level.  Local knowledge is knowing all the little alpine sections of the track, all the little hollows.

Nothing like a few bumps to bring a visiting champion down to earth!

Deer oh deer

Clubs are always looking at ways to attract new members. We're not sure Silverstream Bowling Club (in the Hutt Valley)had deer in mind when this one decided to check out the club!  The Club has recently been having problems with deer coming down from the hills and onto the green.

Keeping our bowling community safe

With the health and well-being of our bowls community being top of mind, Auckland Bowls Board fully supports a vaccinated bowls community.  Therefore, we will be following the same approach as Bowls New Zealand.  Auckland Bowls will only use bowling club facilities for Auckland Centre events that require a vaccination certificate for club entry and our host clubs to require a vaccination certificate.
