These panels are designed for law students and lawyers with up to 5 years post qualification experience. Our fantastic speakers will provide insights into their career, the legal profession and share practical advice. With catering and a tended bar to enjoy after the panels, our networking time provides the great opportunities for building the foundation for connection and friendship, and the opportunity to chat with our speakers and pick their brain further! Panels begin at 5:30pm with networking afterwards commencing around 6:30pm. The panels are held at the College of Law, Sydney and will be livestreamed. Networking can help to progress your career in law and allow you to engage with other professionals that can provide you with exciting opportunities and build your client base. This session will focus on how to make the most out of professional relationships and work a room at functions, tips and tricks on how to build and raise your profile (online and offline), and to put your best foot forward. Panel 4: Emotional Intelligence, Resilience and Dealing with Difficult People A lawyer is equipped with many skills, one of those skills is emotional intelligence. Our panellists will discuss navigating awkward office scenarios and how to use your emotional intelligence to remain resilient. The panel will discuss what being a lawyer is like for them, now and when they first started their career.
