Accelerating research and medical decision-making

A collaboration with NVIDIA researchers and UF has created GatorTron™, an artificial intelligence transformer natural language processing model intended to accelerate research and medical decision-making by extracting insights from massive volumes of clinical data with unprecedented speed and clarity.

Grateful and committed

When Lou Oberndorf reflects on his time at UF Health Shands Hospital being cared for by Li-Ming Su, M.D., professor and chair of the UF Department of Urology, the word "miracle" comes to mind. Oberndorf’s experiences inspired him and his wife, Rosemary, to establish The Lou and Rosemary Oberndorf Prostate Cancer Innovation Fund.
