Questions for Medical Staff input

Q:  Once we’re settled in the new hospital, what aspects of patient journey should we focus on to make the biggest difference to clinical care?

Q:  What significant health system issue should we be solving next?

Q:  What disease could we change the trajectory of or eradicate completely in the next ten years?

Q:  What is one thing that would most improve your experience of being medical staff at PHC, particularly through a time of significant growth and change for the organization?

Q:  How do we better align and integrate care, research, teaching and innovation?

Q:  What do you need to be a leader in advancing digital technologies and AI for positive impact in health care?

About the sessions and your input

➡️  What is Mission:Onward?

  • Mission:Onward is PHC’s next strategic plan that will guide the organization’s priorities for 2027 to 2030.

  • It will include key milestones such as the opening of the new St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH), Clinical Support and Research Centre (CSRC), and St. Vincent’s Heather Long-Term Care.

➡️  What will happen at the sessions?

  •  PHC and medical staff will review and provide feedback on the approach and emerging concepts for the PHC Strategic Plan.

➡️  What can you expect from PHC – and how will input be used?

  •  Gathering your input on potential areas of focus to help shape the plan.

  • Listening: All feedback will be carefully considered, recognizing that not every suggestion is ultimately adopted.

  •  Synthesizing key recurring themes from medical staff  to be combined with feedback from other leaders to help shape the plan.

  •  Having medical leaders further review the plan as it progresses to a final version, expected at end of 2026.

  • Sharing the final plan with you.

Listening to Medical Staff: A look back at Medical Staff engagement in PHC's 2019-26 Strategic Plan

In 2018, 120 physicians contributed to shaping PHC's initial strategic plan for 2019-2026: Mission:Forward.

Those perspectives and ideas were fundamental to helping set priority themes for the organization and patient care for the years to come.

Please join Medical Staff consultation sessions for 2027-30!
