It's starting to feel like Christmas

Two-gether... again!

Pairs qualifying rounds determine finalists!
What a stunning weekend with 280 competitive bowlers on greens all over Tāmaki Makaurau – enjoying the best weather and the bowls!

With last season’s winning Women's combo not playing, the gates were left open for newcomers in a smaller yet highly competitive field. In the first round on Sunday morning, Agnes Motu and Lesley McLinden from Bridge Park had a strong performance, putting to bed Te Atatu’s Robyn Reihana and Marion Hakaraia - only to come up short in the round of 16 to the solid Pt Chevalier pairing of Jo McKenna and Jenny Stockford.

Victorious vegetarians

-- Cynthia Morris

The annual Holiday Ham Tournament celebrated Kohi's final AC Triples of the 2023 summer season on 12 December. 26 teams from as far as Riverhead Bowling Club, Bowls Waiheke and Bowls Manawatu braved windy conditions to play the entire tournament.

Sponsor David Nightingale - Bayleys was a good sport handing out 18 splendid hams without winning a single hock in any of the events he's played in!

More merriment followed when it was announced that the winning team were all vegetarians!  Congratulations to the composite team, Barclay from St Heliers with Paul and Patrick from Carlton Cornwall.

A big thank you to all who played throughout the series.
