![]() Message from Dawn![]() Tēnā koutou katoa We enter Week 9 with mixed emotions. It has been a wonderful term full of achievements and successes, and we can be proud of all that has been accomplished. While we look forward to a well-deserved break, this week also brings the bittersweet moment of saying farewell to our Year 13 students. On Friday, we will hold our Graduation Walk and Ceremony; a special occasion to celebrate the Year 13s, acknowledge their service to the school, and wish them well as they take the next step towards their goals. This cohort has consistently lived out our school values, and their Spirit Week activities will ensure their final days here are both memorable and joyful. On Thursday, we will also host the Sports Prizegiving for Years 9-13, a chance to recognise and celebrate the outstanding sporting successes of our students this year. Although many in our community will be enjoying a well-earned rest over the break, Cambridge Examinations will be taking place on campus, along with tutorials for senior students preparing for their assessments. I would like to extend my very best wishes to our graduating students, may you enjoy this final week of school. You have truly earned it. Ngā mihi nui, College News![]() OnScreen NZ Student Film CompetitionWishing the Pinehurst Media Club Success with their Entries! The Pinehurst Media Club have been hard at work over the term developing storylines and characters in preparation for their OnScreen NZ Submission. The OnScreen NZ student film competition is one of the largest in Aotearoa and works to support and promote young creative talents. With the submission deadline on the 17 September, our groups have been working hard finalising their filming and editing to complete their short films. We wish our entries the best of luck and look forward to seeing their completed work! ![]() ![]() Message from Sian![]() Kia ora tatou, It’s hard to believe we’re already in the final week of Term 3! Everyone has commented on how quickly the term has flown by, and it’s no wonder as we’ve packed so much into these past weeks. Our students have worked hard, played hard, and had plenty of fun along the way. As we look ahead to Term 4, we’re excited to spend more time outdoors, making the most of our beautiful learning environment. Next week, we’ll be celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori across the school, embracing the richness of te reo in our classrooms and throughout the school. A highlight this week is the Year 4–6 Speech Finals, happening Tuesday 16th September at 11am in the Theatre. Our 15 finalists will impress us with persuasive and informative speeches; this is always a favourite event. We also look forward to cheering on our Year 13 students during their Graduation Parade on Friday 19th September from 11am. What a special moment for our whole school community as we celebrate their journey and thank them for their leadership. Kia pai ngā rā whakata, Primary News![]() Te Wiki o te Reo Māori – Māori Language WeekNext week we will be celebrating Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week).
