The Power of Google Business Profile

Have you ever come across your business profile when searching on Google? The listing with your practice name, hours of operation, reviews, phone number and map location? 

This is called your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) and it's where most of your practice enquiries will come from. The good news is that you can and should be in control of this profile, and proactively updating information.

A fully updated Google Business Profile (GBP) listing will give you more real estate on Google Search, boost your search rankings, and increase your chances of showing in the top page of map results for eyecare in your local area.

The latest data for Optometry practices shows almost 70% of inbound activities - including phone calls, website clicks and direction requests - occur through a Google Business Profile (GBP). Here are a few more perks:

It is also crucial to keep your profile updated with recent photos, operating hours, services etc and make it easy for customers to choose you. In your calendar make a note to update your Google Business Profile every month.
