Friday, 9 September 2022 | 9.00am to 10.00am

The quickest way to gain access to a system is through an application that is used by a business.

People are your biggest potential vulnerability in relation to cyber security. A recent study undertaken by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the UK revealed that 60% of cyber attacks on legal practices were as a result of employee behaviour. In 20% of those attacks, the employees had not received cyber risk training.

Failure to implement appropriate processes and provide all staff with appropriate training, are critical factors in cyber claims impacting practitioners.

Embedding macros into documents regularly used by law practices and emailed between employees, is just one of the ways that cyber criminals can gain access to your system. In this webinar, you will learn about a Macro Attack using Microsoft Word and ways to reduce the risk of this attack.

Email is the main form of communication between lawyers, clients and others, both internally and externally.

Although, essential to modern practice, many lawyers are never adequately trained in how to compose an email to ensure it is read and understood. Nor are they given any Risk Management training regarding this form of communication. This session is designed to do those things plus more.

The webinars will address the requirements in further detail, and take participants through examples to assist with implementation. These seminars are relevant to all principals but should also be of interest to employed practitioners.
