Navigating Grant Proposal Rejections
Wednesday, November 1 | noon–1:30 p.m. | Register
Developing grant proposals is no simple task. Hours of work go into developing the research plan, contextualizing that research plan in the established literature, and building partnerships and collaborations, among other grant development tasks. After all that work, receiving a decline letter can be challenging. What steps should you take now that the proposal has been declined? Should you revise and resubmit for the next funding cycle? Should you consider a different funding opportunity? In this session, a distinguished panel of scholars at Emory University will share their experiences in turning grant proposal setbacks into success.
GA CTSA TL1 (T32-like) Training Grant Clinical and Translational Research Training Application Workshop
Thursday, November 2 | 9:30–11:30 a.m. | In-person and Zoom | Register
This in-person workshop will be led by Janet Gross, PhD, teaching faculty for the Georgia CTSA MSCR and CPTS programs, who is an expert in federal grant applications in the health sciences and NIH grant writing. The TL1 program is focused on providing innovative didactic and mentored clinical and translational research (CTR) training to individuals interested in careers that encompass CTR and clinical and translational science (CTS).
GA CTSA Team Science Skill Series: Managing, Leveraging, and Mitigating Conflict
Friday, November 3 | noon–1 p.m. | Zoom | Register
Discussions will be facilitated on how different conflict styles may be more appropriate in given scenarios and how to align the right style as the situation calls for it. Theories and best practices will be emphasized throughout from the high-performance teamwork literature and from the conflict and conflict management literature.
URC Grants Informational Session
