Entries for the 2022 Research Got Talent Award competition have officially opened. Now in its third year, the competition is an initiative of the Australian Data and Insights Association (ADIA) and the global ESOMAR Foundation and encourages young professionals to use market research and insights to support local charities and NGOs to overcome pressing social issues. The research aims to assist change in various areas, including gender inequality, access to justice and education, integration and diversity, environmental issues, and climate change. In addition, for 2022, the Red Cross has partnered with Research Got Talent to provide a project for potential entrants if they do not yet have a charity in mind. The competition is open to young research professionals aged 18-35 who are ADIA member organisation employees or work for an ESOMAR Australian-based member. The judges are looking for innovative projects that address a prominent social issue and can make changes to the charity they support. The Australian winner will attend the ADIA Leaders Forum Conference in May 2022 and is automatically entered into ESOMAR’s global competition, giving them a unique opportunity to present their work to an international audience at the ESOMAR Congress in Toronto, Canada, from September 18 - 21 2022. Samantha Liew and May Chantra from Lewers Research won the RGT competition in 2021 for their entry - Courage to Care - Upstander Program Scoping. The project aimed to equip Courage to Care Victoria with insights to help expand its “Upstander Programs”, which address racism, bullying and prejudice - in the schoolyard, workplace, and community.
Entries open today and close on 4 April 2022. The Australian winners will be announced on 6 May 2022. Research Got Talent entrant briefings will be held in March.
