A quick progress update on the construction of our new office and distribution centre in the Waikato.
From a grassy field in January, the building structures are really starting to take shape thanks to the hard work of everyone involved with the project.
The main warehouse precast has been installed, steel structures are in place and the roof is on. We celebrated this milestone with a roof shout and the weather was even on our side, it was a beautiful Waikato morning!
Our specialised dangerous goods bunker is in place walls and roof. The concrete roof needed to be poured in-situ which was an interesting challenge for the team onsite.
The office is also coming along with all the exterior windows now installed including the glass!
We are past the halfway mark of the project and it’s tracking well. Our goal is to operate from the new site from early 2024.
We’re confident this new space will be an asset to the business and our customers, alike. And as you would expect Soudal products are being used wherever possible.

Recently we launched our Silicone training module. In this module we explain the different types of silicones and best practice techniques for removing, preparing, replacing, and finishing silicone. Once complete, you will receive a certificate that will enable you to register your activity to earn an elective LBP point.
We will be launching more training modules this year which will cover expanding foam and the different types of adhesives.
Finding the best adhesive to bond different materials can be tricky.
Our product selector tool has a section called “STICKING STUFF” – It’s easy to use, you simply select the substrates that you are working with whether it be timber, metal, plasterboard, concrete, rubber etc, then hit "NEXT". A list of product options that are best suited for the job appears.
