The training supports the ECEC workforce to understand their child safety obligations, strengthen preventative practices, and reduce risk of harm to children. Developed by the Australian Centre for Child Protection (ACCP) in partnership with the Queensland Government, on behalf of all Australian states and territories and the Australian Government, the Foundation training has been available since 27 February 2026. Work on the Advanced training is currently underway. As part of this next phase, you are invited to participate in upcoming consultation sessions. These sessions will provide an early look at the Advanced courses and an opportunity to help refine the content before it is finalised. Want to be involved? Workforce members can register for one of 6 x 2-hour online consultation workshops. Participation is voluntary, and attendance at only one session is necessary. To register for a consultation workshop, visit the ACCP website. For more information about the training visit the National Child Safety Training website.
