Join the Office of PittServes and Engagement and Community Affairs October 16-21 for Civic Action Week, a weeklong, campus wide-event for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community to educate, engage, and encourage dialogue and civic action to tackle pressing social issues in the Pittsburgh community and beyond.
This year's theme for Civic Action Week is Rewriting our Future: Activism through Storytelling. Educational workshops and speakers will occur throughout the week, and service project days in the community will occur on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21.
Pitt community members are encouraged to sign up for both the workshops occurring throughout the weekdays, as well as the service days. Staff can dedicate 7.5 hours to public service, volunteerism, and professional development. Staff are encouraged to sign up for service project opportunities on Friday, Oct. 20 to utilize the University’s policy. Both service days will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with breakfast, lunch, t-shirts, and transportation offered if needed.
