A view from Jakarta - meet Australia's Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia

AIBC is pleased to invite you to a networking event with The Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Her Excellency Ms Penny Williams PSM.

Following Prime Minister Albanese’s visit to Indonesia in June 2023, accompanied by a delegation of Australian CEOs, and his return to Bali in November to attend the B20 with one of the largest business delegations, there is real commitment from both countries to deepen our bilateral trade and investment.  This commitment was also evident when the Australian Assistant Treasurer led a delegation of Australian superannuation and institutional investors to Jakarta last year, when Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) travelled to Australia with a large delegation in support of the B20, and during last month’s visit to Perth and Canberra by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, H.E Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to discuss collaboration in critical minerals.

Building on this momentum, Ambassador Williams is visiting Australia in March and early April to meet with Australian business leaders and other stakeholders.  Please join us as she provides an updated perspective on the political, economic, and business environment in Indonesia and outlines the opportunities and challenges to deepening our economic engagement.

Austrade Jakarta based Trade and Investment Commissioner, Rod Commerford will also participate.
