No images? Click here We are looking forward to welcoming you to Northern Beaches Christian School next Wednesday 31 August for Showcase 2022. Showcase celebrates who we are as a learning community. Learning spaces across the campus will be open and a selection of student projects will be on display, from Kindergarten through to Year 12 HSC Major Works, along with live performances. Please find key logistic and event information below, including parking, program and uniform guidelines. Designated staff and volunteers will also be on hand to assist with any directions and information on the day. Event DetailsWednesday 31 August Outdoor Music Performances: 3:30 – 5:30pm (not seated events - although seating is available in the surrounding area) Program & MapDownload: NBCS Showcase 2022 Program & Map Student InvolvementStudents are encouraged to attend and show their family and friends around Showcase. Student led tours will also be available during the Showcase event, starting from Main Reception every half hour from 3:30pm. All students will be informed of, and are responsible for knowing, the time and location of their specific performance commitments. UniformPrimary and Secondary students must wear full school uniform during this event, unless required to wear alternative clothes for a specific role or performance. RefreshmentsThe on-site café, Grounded, will be open throughout the event, serving a range of food and beverage options. Inclement WeatherShowcase will proceed regardless of weather. There are covered walkways between most buildings. Supervision for PrimaryIt is expected that all Primary students will attend Showcase. Please remember that all Primary students will be under the direct supervision of their parents or guardians - including the playground equipment and around the campus. Unless catching the bus or being picked up, all students must be collected from their learning space as soon as possible once the event commences. Child minding is not available. If parents are planning to have their child/children collected by someone else, please indicate this on the forms linked below by midday on Monday 29 August.
Once they leave their classroom, students will be the responsibility of parents and guardians or nominated alternative. Siblings should also remain in parental care. Students have been instructed not to run around and play games during the evening. This will allow the focus to remain on the learning on display in the classrooms. Parking ArrangementsDue to the size of the event, and recent inclement weather preventing us from using our Oval for parking purposes, we will have very limited parking available on campus for this year’s Showcase. To maximise parking arrangements, we ask for your assistance with the following:
- Carpooling with family and friends from your local area to reduce the number of cars needing to be parked at school. - ‘Park and Ride’: Determine a convenient meeting point for your extended family and friends to meet up and combine into one vehicle e.g. Terrey Hills Oval.
We appreciate your support of these arrangements. We look forward to celebrating this special event in the life of our school with you. Tim Watson |
