Innovative Home Financing Options for Newcomers Webinar: Thursday, June 25 @ 3:00 p.m. ET

Join us Thursday, June 25 at 3:00 p.m. ET as we co-host a webinar on innovative home financing, specifically focusing on the Islamic home financing model, with new RHS partner Guidance Residential.

Guidance Residential is pleased to provide an overview of their unique Islamic home financing model, built around co-ownership rather than traditional lending and available to individuals and families of all faiths.

Unlike a bank, Guidance is an independent organization that does not lend money but instead enters into a co-ownership agreement with homebuyers. Learn how their declining balance structure works, how clients gradually increase ownership over time, and what makes their model different, including shared risk principles and an alternative pathway to homeownership.

This webinar will provide resettlement professionals operating ORR-funded programs, as well as state and local agencies looking to improve supports for their newcomer constituents, with practical insights on helping newcomer families in the United States understand available home financing options.

FY 2026 Needs Assessments: Explore the First Survey's Findings and Take Part in the Second Survey

Findings from RHS' first needs assessment survey of FY 2026, administered in December 2025 to the resettlement network to analyze housing trends and challenges for ORR-eligible populations, are now available in a new report.

On June 1, RHS will launch its second needs assessment survey of FY 2026. This survey will target housing stakeholders (i.e. landlords, property managers) to better understand opportunities and challenges related to renting to newcomers. The insights from this survey will directly inform the support offered by RHS so we can help streamline the rental process, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen partnerships that benefit both property owners and tenants.

Improved Resource Submission Form

RHS is continually working to improve the Housing Directory, and its data collection and management practices. The Resource Submission Form is one step in this process that we have recently improved for better usability and streamline review, verification, and addition to the Housing Directory map.

If you find a resource is missing from the Directory, use this quick form to send us resource and service provider information.
