The newsletter was developed based on feedback we’ve received regarding interest in updates related to advising and Navigate across our Universities of Wisconsin. We want to ensure that any colleagues interested in these topics can easily access updates through email or at 360 Advising|wisconsin.edu. Advising NewsWisconsin Academic Advising Association (WACADA) Conference- Kudos to WACADA and UW-Madison for hosting the conference Sept. 28-29 at the Pyle Center on campus and to all who presented including keynote speaker DeAnn Possehl, Assistant Provost of Student Success at UW-Parkside, who spoke on
“Bridging the Gap through Proactive Advising and Differentiated Support.” And congratulations to all the UW award winners, who will be recognized soon on WACADA's website at Awards – WACADA | Wisconsin Academic Advising Association.
- Angie Kellogg, who leads both 360 Advising and Navigate work across UW universities, and Annie LaValley, an Advisor for Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, provided an update on that work. Their presentation slide deck is available at 360 Advising|wisconsin.edu.
NACADA: The Global Community for Academic AdvisingCareer and Major Exploration Tool RFP Process- We are currently conducting a procurement process to select a major and career exploration tool that could be used by prospective and current students, other stakeholders and UW faculty and staff.
- Thank you to the staff from across the UW universities who are serving on the evaluation team and as subject matter experts to provide input.
- The evaluation team will determine which vendor best fulfills our requirements, and we hope to have a contract by the end of the calendar year and begin implementation early in
2024.
Advising Mini Grants- Mini grants were offered to support institutional efforts to enhance academic and career advising efforts.
- Our committee is reviewing submissions, and we expect to send notifications in late October.
Navigate NewsEAB Contract Extension- The Board of Regents Business and Finance Committee approved a five-year extension of UW System’s agreement with EAB Global for the Navigate student success management platform.
- The project empowers students with information and tools and helps advisors, faculty and staff build more effective, timely support to improve student
outcomes.
EAB Second Annual Analytics in Action Cohort- UW-Green Bay, UW-La Crosse, UW-Parkside, UW-Stout, and UW-Superior have joined EAB's national analytics community of practice, which has two tracks: loss of learning and opportunity gap.
- This CoP is designed to advance data-informed student support strategies and provide an opportunity to share ideas and discuss challenges with other Navigate leaders.
- They began meeting in April and
expect to complete their work in early 2024.
Navigate Fall Communities of Practice: Schedule and Contacts- The Analytics CoP began meeting in July and had their second meeting in October. Contact: Lixia Qin, lqin@uwsa.edu

Navigate Senior Leadership Summit- The Office of Enrollment and Student Success has scheduled an update on the systemwide use, impacts, and potential of Navigate from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in Madison.
- Invitations have been extended to Chancellors, Provosts, Senior Student Affairs Officers, Senior Strategic Enrollment Officers, Navigate Program Sponsors, and Navigate Program Owners.
Navigate December Presentation to Board of Regents- We are pleased to have an opportunity to share an overview of your progress, use of Navigate tools and functionality, and the impacts on student success at the Board of Regents’ December meeting in Madison.
EAB CONNECTED24 Conference- A total of 33 colleagues from around UW System have registered for the Jan. 21-23, 2024, conference in Denver.
- The complete agenda is at C24|eab.com. EAB expects to open registration for specific sessions in mid-November.
- Kudos to UW-Whitewater for selection to present on Jan. 22 on their expansion into housing and residence life care units.
- All UW participants are asked to save the time from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, for a convening of our group.

Transfer Student WeekNational Transfer Student Week, Oct. 16-20, celebrates transfer students and the professionals who support their educational journeys. Find

Earlier this month, transfer coordinators from our Universities of Wisconsin and peers from the Wisconsin Technical College System, Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and College of Menominee Nation met to network and share updates at the Annual Wisconsin Collaborative Transfer Meeting Oct. 11 in Milwaukee.
