16th Assembly reconvened meeting

In just one month, the 16th Assembly meeting will be reconvened. Assembly members will regather in person from 6th-9th May 2022 on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Uniting Church in Australia President Rev Sharon Hollis invites the Church to pray for the Assembly meeting in this short video message. View more

Yarning on Country

Yarning on Country

As well as the Surrender events at Marion (the Justice Afternoon Tea and the main gathering, Surrender in Tarntanya:22, in the evening), there is also a ‘Yarning on Country’ event being held on Saturday 23rd April. Heading out to Raukkan to have a yarn with beloved friends, Sean Weetra and Jordan Sumner. Gather at 10.30 am at Raukkan and spend the day connecting with country, hearing more from Sean and Jordan about their work in the Raukkan community, and what creation care and stewardship look like for them. To be grateful for the good things

Jesus’ call throughout his teaching resounds with holding firm to faith in God.

Good Friday echoes injustice, suffering, hardship, affliction and trauma. Absurd and unfounded accusations, followed by unjust decisions result in harsh and violent outcomes, all due to humanity’s worst traits. This echoes the human story.

Prayer Points for 12th April 2022

This week we pray for:

  • For all involved in the forthcoming Federal Election, and that those who will stand for election commit to policies that seek flourishing for all.
  • True peace and an end to the war in Ukraine, and in all places of conflict and violence across the world.
  • For the on-going clean-up interstate and for those communities continuing to be impacted by recent flooding.
