Whether you need a hand setting up your laptop or a safe place to explore GenAI, Pitt Digital has what you need to make getting connected easier than ever.

See What Pitt Digital Is Doing For You

GenAI That Doesn't Steal Your Data

Generative AI @ Pitt gives you protected and secure access to Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, Google Gemini, and NotebookLM when signed in with your Pitt credentials. Remember that with great GenAI power comes great responsibility. Be sure to review your syllabi for AI policies in your classes and stay up to date on University-wide guidance.

1Password Is All You Need

Password management is changing this year. Now, all students receive 4 years of a 1Password Personal Management plan for free. 1Password generates and stores strong, unique passwords across all of your devices so you only need to remember your primary login. Activate your free plan and at digital.pitt.edu/1password. Current LastPass users can learn more about migrating to 1Password here.

Don't Forget About Cybersecurity Training

Be the friend who knows how to protect yourself online. Rising cyberthreats are a problem for both personal and University data, which is why online Cybersecurity Essentials training is required for all students every year. Complete the training at your earliest opportunity by searching "security training" on myPitt (my.pitt.edu).

2 Ways 2 Wi-Fi

Don’t let Wi-Fi confuse you. Use MyResNet in most residence halls by connecting to "MyResNet-5G" with your MyResNet Wi-Fi password for more speed, more devices, and more fun. In academic and administrative buildings, Hampton Inn, Pennsylvania Apartments, campus shuttles, and at outdoor hotspots, connect to the "WIRELESS-PITTNET" network using your University password.

Tech Help That’s Better Than Reddit

Need help with Wi-Fi struggles or login issues? Give us a call at +1-412-624-HELP (4357) or use Live Chat for quick support. For non-urgent matters like software downloads or general questions, our online form is a great option. You can even DIY using articles in our Services Portal. Pitt Digital has all the tech support you need, so don’t be afraid to use it.

Do Even More with the Student Computing Labs

Did you know that you can find Student Computing Labs and Pitt Print Stations all over campus — and now we're even in Hillman! Whether you need a Mac, PC, or a place to print that crunchy PDF your professor assigned, learn more about how real students use the labs in this video.
