Through January & February we have been out and about around CU campus getting involved with Semester 2 students at the CU Library, CUC and the SU Information Fair at the Hub. Promotion has been extremely positive, seeing many of our students delve into their potential entrepreneurial aspirations but to also make those aware that the team at CUSE LAUNCH are available to help, support and guide through many of our programmes. It was additionally great to meet many of our new January Starters come and find out about our Launch Programmes & Services. Many of our 1st year students pointed out that their long term goals are to take the skills and knowledge they will gain at Coventry University using them towards a scalable start-up. LAUNCH Training Cohort 35 + Up And Coming Cohort Information Cohort 35 of our LAUNCH training Programme began on the 2nd February with 25 individuals starting their Entrepreneurial journey. This is our first 10 week Programme with sessions taking place from 16:00 - 18:30. Our first session was a great success with some excellent Ideation activities but also it was really rewarding seeing everyone get involved and we know that this is going to be another great success. We also had the pleasure of being joined by one off our success stories, Lucy Bayliss who has previously completed the LAUNCH Programmes along with receiving Funding to continue her start-up. Lucy was able to share her positive experiences with LAUNCH and offered excellent advice on some of the challenges she has faced from supply chain to costs We are delivering other Cohorts through the summer, if you have a business idea and want to get part of the LAUNCH Training please select the Link to go to our cuse-launch.com Training page to submit you application to join one of them. We have both In-Person & Virtual Online Intensive Cohorts running. Masterclass Workshop Coming Up In February we have an Online Practical Workshop Masterclass running that gives you an insight into Taking Control. Please see below details and QR Code available for you to register to attend. Our Practical Masterclass in Taking Control Of Your Life, Career and Business is being delivered by one of our Entrepreneur Mentors Helen Brewster. Helen will be sharing core, experienced knowledge as an Entrepreneur for 90 minutes. 22/02, 16:00 - 17:30 Please see below additional details of our event, QR link and button to get registered, this session is a great window for you to start exploring possibilities as an Entrepreneur that may have not been initially apparent. Connect2 Connect2 is a project, based at CUSE that can offer you free one-to-one support towards staring your own business or social enterprise. You can also be supported to find work or further training. To be eligible for Connect2, you must be aged 16+, have the right to live and work in the UK, be unemployed or economically inactive (e.g. full-time study) and live in a CV1 – CV6 postcode. Enhancing Futures, May 2023 Enhancing Futures is collection of free programme of live, online sessions with an interactive element, open to our undergraduate students. The sessions aim to help students explore the world, grow their leadership skills and get noticed by employers. Most sessions are in a one- to two-hour ‘bite-sized’ format so students can quickly gain knowledge in the areas that are important to them. Keep an close eye on further announcements with a schedule of programmes available to you.
