Message from the Founder:
It’s been a busy few months for Adopt-A-Beast, and thanks to the incredible support of our community, we’ve now officially begun the process of helping another grazing family in need. Seeing the support our community gives turn into real livestock recovery is exactly why Adopt-A-Beast exists.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the people who have donated, purchased a ticket, attended an event, donated prizes, shared our posts, or simply encouraged us along the way. To every one of you, thank you. Your generosity and support have helped turn fundraising into real support for a grazing family in need.
With parts of Queensland already drought-declared and challenging weather continuing to test our regional communities, we know more farming families may need a helping hand in the months ahead.
I don’t usually make an ask in my newsletter messages, but this time I’m asking for volunteers. We need to strengthen our team now so we’re ready to step up when our graziers need us.
Whether you can help at fundraising events, lend a hand behind the scenes, bring your skills to one of our key committees, or share your knowledge and experience of life on the land, there is an important place for you at AAB.
There’s plenty more happening behind the scenes, and we’re excited about what’s ahead.

Father's Day Raffle
You might have spotted these two popping up on our socials lately - Dusty and Banjo, our rather opinionated Father’s Day raffle mascots.
Dusty is the old hand who knows best, while Banjo is the cheeky youngster with a few ideas of his own. Together, they’ve been giving us their take on Father’s Day and our Father’s Day Raffle.
We have three great prize packs up for grabs. Single tickets are just $2 (with discount bundles available), and every ticket helps our graziers rebuild after crisis.

Since We Last Spoke:
Since we last spoke, there’s been plenty happening around the Adopt-A-Beast paddock. From our Fuel Raffle and first Bunnings sausage sizzle to our annual Garage Sale, our community has continued to show up for AAB in such a big way. We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity, support and enthusiasm that have made it all such a success

That should have helped keep the tank topped up for a while.
Garage Sale Success
Our annual Garage Sale was a fantastic success, raising more than $1,500!
A huge thank you to everyone who donated goods for us to sell, and to the wonderful volunteers who helped sort, set up, sell, and pack up. And of course, thank you to everyone who came along, grabbed a bargain, and supported Adopt-A-Beast.
It takes a real community effort to make an event like this happen, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part.

Adopt-A-Beast is powered by people who care about our rural communities, and we’d love you to be part of it!
Whether you have a few hours to spare, skills to share, or simply want to lend a hand, there are plenty of ways to make a difference:
Out & About: Help at special events, local market stalls, cook a sausage sizzle, sell raffle tickets, or spread the word.
Behind the Scenes: Lend a hand with admin, fundraising, social media, tech, or IT — from home or wherever suits you.
Join a Committee: Share your experience and ideas by joining one of our committees, including Fundraising and Grants.
You don’t need to make a huge commitment. Every bit of time and every helping hand helps us support graziers rebuilding after crisis.
