North Terrace campus is buzzing with recent graduates who are attending ceremonies. It's lovely how families and friends flock together for graduations photographs.

As colder days continue on to our mid-semester break, it’s the perfect time to unwind from weeks of studies with a warm cuppa and a movie, or snuggle-up in bed a little later than usual. Lots of events are also happening on-campus and online if you are hoping to spice up your holidays.

Update Contact Details for Exams

If you have received an email recently to update your contact details for Semester 2 exams, log in to your Access Adelaide account and update the mailing address and telephone number before this Friday 24 September.

If the system doesn’t allow you to update these details, please contact Ask Adelaide for help.

You may fall into a different study period, so it's important that you check your Access Adelaide account, Course Planner and Critical Dates 2021.

Apply for exchange to New Zealand

Study Overseas is pleased to announce that applications for exchange to the University of Canterbury in New Zealand for Semester 1 2022 are now open. Eligible students can apply to Study Overseas before 24 October. Visit the Study Overseas website for further information, including eligibility.

Take part in the National Safety Survey
The National Student Safety Survey is open until 3 October. If you’ve received an email inviting you to participate, please respond – it’s important to hear from you, whether or not you’ve experienced sexual violence, coercion or harassment of any kind. If you haven’t received the email, find it here.

2022 International Peer Mentor applications now open
Join the International Peer Mentor program where you can plan and run events, help international students and develop your leadership skills. Applications are open for Peer Mentor positions for both onshore and offshore students, and both international and domestic students can apply.

Join PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) now and win prizes for attendance
Studying with peers can be fun, and PASS might just be the motivator you need! Plus, attend 6 or more sessions and you will be in the draw to win 1 of 3 prizes. It’s not too late to start. Check the timetable today.

Join the AUU as a stall holder at the Student Bazaar
The Adelaide University Union (AUU) are looking for students to be part of a fantastic event happening in October- the Student Bazaar. If you make or sell items, register your interest in having a stall at this event. Registrations close Friday 24 September. For more information contact the AUU events team.

The Writing Centre mid-semester break opening hours
The Writing Centre will remain open during this first week of the mid-semester break from 10 am to 4 pm. They will be closed in the second week of the break, and will reopen in Week 9. Book an appointment and/or access resources via the website.

2022 Young Carer Bursary Program
Are you aged below 25 and a carer of a family member? You might be eligible for the Carers Australia 2022 Young Carer Bursary Program. The program supports young carers to continue, or return to, their education with funding. Applications are open until 30 September. Visit the Disability Support website for more information.

Swing into spring with Sunset Sessions 

Friday 8 October, 4 to 9 pm – Maths Lawns
Join the Adelaide University Union (AUU) for a sun-drenched spring afternoon of relaxed tunes, market stalls, food and drink. Bring along your picnic blanket to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. Event entry $10 or $5 for AUU Members. Head to the event page to book your tickets.

Tuesday 28 September, 5 to 9:30 pm - The Braggs lecture theatre
If you’ve been feeling like we’re living in a disaster movie lately, then join AUMA for a double feature of great films and brush up on your Hollywood-esque survival techniques, all while enjoying pizza, soft drinks, and some awesome snack bags. Check out the event page for tickets and more info.

Classics and Ancient History Society Quiz Night
Friday 24 September, 7 to 10 pm - Rumours Café
Looking for something fun during mid-semester break? The Classics and Ancient History Society is hosting a quiz night in collaboration with Flinders Uni. The quiz is general knowledge and anyone is welcome to register for free tickets. Compete for fun prizes including mugs, gift vouchers, and lots of chocolates.

Tribute to the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC
Wednesday 6 October, 5:30 to 6:30 pm - Elder Conservatorium of Music
The Tribute to the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC has been rescheduled to Wednesday 6 October. This is an opportunity for our community to celebrate the contribution Mr and Mrs Le have made to our State. The event will include a performance by students from the Elder Conservatorium of music.
