C4 Spotlight: Tim Bober, MD, MS

This issue’s C4 Center Spotlight features Dr. Tim Bober, a clinician scientist and C4 Research Center core faculty member.  After his clinician-research fellowship here at Pitt, Dr. Bober joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine this summer as an Assistant Professor, and is a practicing hospitalist within the UPMC health system.

Dr. Bober’s research aims to find ways to improve and redesign digital health pathways for management of chronic disease in primary care, with a particular focus on patients with diabetes and metabolic syndrome.  Dr. Bober recently received an NIDDK supplement to support a project that aims to understand the impact of digital health literacy and health supporters on technology use for diabetes self-management among adults with type 2 diabetes participating in the MPowerHub Study
