Art Against the Flow Summit, Chicago IL

Wesley Willis

The “Art Against the Flow” Summit will take place on November 1–3 at Ace Hotel Chicago (311 N. Morgan St., Chicago). One of the highlights of the Summit is the charrette at Intuit on November 1, from 3-5 p.m., to participate in the design conversation on Intuit’s façade.

As part of the summit, on November 2, at the Arts Club of Chicago, Intuit is hosting a discussion on Jean Dubuffet’s seminal text “Anti-Cultural Positions,” delivered at The Arts Club in 1951, which elucidated his groundbreaking approach to auteurs—Dubuffet’s term for Art Brut artists, with special guest speaker Carine Fol, artistic director, CENTRALE for Contemporary Art, Brussels.

The summit includes lectures, presentations and panel discussions with outsider art curators, artists and professionals from around the country. Click here for the programme or to register.
