• If you come before 3:45pm, which is when the Fan Zone opens, just tell the security guard you’re with the Alumni Band and they’ll let you into the area

Football vs. Utah Utes

The Bruins open their 2025 season, their second season in the 18-team Big 10 conference, against former PAC-12 rival and current Big 12 members, the Utah Utes. This will be the first time since before Utah was granted statehood that Cam Rising is not their quarterback to start the season.

Remember this is the first game so the parking will be confused because most of the people there are new. So, allow yourself time to be diverted from Lot H to Lot I to Lot 6 to Dodger Stadium Blue Lot, and finally back to Lot H.

Come early, beat the traffic, and help us do a round of Porta-Sons for the tailgaters in Lot H.

Football vs. New Mexico Lobos

The Bruins’ second home game will be held on Friday, September 12 against Los Lobos who are also touring with X this fall. This Friday night game should feature lots of traffic, music, traffic, beer, traffic, sandwiches, and in all likelihood, more traffic.

This will be the second game and all of the parking attendants who worked the first game will be laid off as part of a cost cutting measure and the new people will be given magic wands to direct traffic, so once again be patient.

Remember at all football games if we have a sufficient band early enough we go through the parking lot for a round of Port-A-Sons. I believe that another famous author wrote –

Port-a-Sons is an excellent way to get your steps in for those of you who monitor the number of steps you take every day on your personal fitness devices (cell phones, FitBits, and CRAY 3600 super computers).

In conclusion, go to whatever calendar you use, fill in these important dates, and go the Alumni Band web page and sign up for the three events and most importantly, pay your dues so Charlie the drummer / accountant can spend his time learning to count to 4 instead of collecting dues all season.
