Smiling faces and excellent numbers across a wide range of ages would seem to indicate that bowls is alive and well in Auckland! Two fantastic evenings so far - looking forward to the rest of the summer series. Huge thanks to those coming along, those who help out and of course to our superb sponsor David Nightingale - Bayleys Real Estate. So, we were ready with decorations and a great spirit that the rain could only dampen but a smidge. Pictured are the winning skips - Roger Johnston, Norman Ng, Nick Krajancic, and Ken Batkin, together with our sponsor, Libby Stafford from Cruise Connections, and tournament convenor Murray Lander. We had to reduce the field because of the weather today, but are still pleased so many could still enjoy the competition thanks to our covered facility. Keep counting down to Christmas with us at our next Thursday date - 1 December.
